NFL Properties was already one of the fastest growing, and most profitable
in the marketing and promotions community. Hundreds of corporations,
licensees and local promotion agencies were making a fine living
off the license division of the NFL.
However, because of some long standing rules among the teams, it was common
practice for one team to be hotter than most, yet have to share all
their profitability with the rest of the franchise owners.
NFL team owners needed to find a way to execute promotions that would
allow them to keep all the revenue generated from their efforts.
We developed the first "local promotion" for the New Orleans Saints.
It was Called the Who-Dat Fan Club. (you have to know New Orleans to
understand that one!)
