Born in 1948, Don Calarco began his business career in 1966, as a manager for a Kemper owned, financial services company. His responsibilities included management of an 8 million dollar portfolio of small loan and discount finance accounts . He later took a position with Wilshire Marketing Corporation, a Los Angeles based consulting firm specializing in new product introductions, creative development, strategic planning and marketing.

In 1974, at age 26, he was promoted to the position of Director - New Product Development. He found himself responsible for the design, development and creation of products for the automotive, pharmaceutical and agricultural markets of multi-national corporations.

In 1989, in the midst of a corporate shake up, Calarco met Mike Breheny and the two became instant friends. By 1992 they had become partners and re-founded the original American Marketing. Today, their company is focused in two primary activities.  Medical Professional Solutions is a formidable  medical practice management system with EMR and a variety of expandable features and applications.   The American Marketing team manages all development, productions, sales, marketing and corporate  activities for this exciting new company.
